Mark S. Purcell , 71, of Monroe, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023 at his home after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Mark was born on August 14, 1951 in Monroe, Wisconsin the son of Bernard and Anna (Snyder) Purcell. He graduated from Monroe High School in 1970. Mark was employed by Colony Brands for 40 years. Mark held several positions over his four decades of service, he acted as manager of the mailing department until he retired. He will always be remembered by his family and friends for his sense of humor, his love of plants and animals, his dedication to the AA program and community, his love of cooking, and his kindness. His generous and caring soul will live on forever.

Mark will be dearly missed by his step-daughter, Bailey Wartenweiler of Monroe; brother, Mike Purcell of Monroe; two sisters, Maryann Krueger of Beaver Dam, Bernadette Chambers of Valparaiso, IN; nephews, Daniel (Heather) Purcell and their children Bella and Oliver, Ryan Purcell, and Matthew (Mary) Chambers and their child Nell; a niece, Brittany (Ralph) Pehl; his former wife and good friend, Susan Black; and his loyal companion and miniature dachshund, Roxie. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers-in-law, Chuck Krueger and Steve Chambers.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 12:00 p.m., at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, Monroe, followed by interment in Calvary Cemetery, Monroe. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday, March 25th, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Condolences may be shared at www.newcomerfuneralhome.net
