Howard “Lynn” McKee, age 73, of Monroe passed March 16, 2023 at St. Clare Friedensheim Monroe.  He was born on January 22, 1950 the son of Howard and Gayle (Downs) McKee.  Howard attended Warren High School in Warren, IL and after high school he worked for several farmers and Swiss Colony in Monroe. 

On August 2, 1975 he married Rebecca (Becky) Wahl.  They were married over 45 years.    They farmed for close to 40 years on Benkert Road Monroe.  After 17 years of marriage Lynn and Becky adopted a child from India and named her Mikala.  Mikala was the greatest thing that come into his life. 

Howard enjoyed bowling, playing horseshoes, going to state tournaments in both.  He was a lifelong Green Bay Packer Fan and enjoyed playing cards with family, friends, and others at St. Clare Friedensheim.

Howard (Lynn) is survived by his daughter, Mikala McKee, Madison; siblings, Judy (Tom) Hay, Warren, IL, Marty (Karen) McKee, Stockton, IL, Janette (Randy) Leehan, Apple River, IL; sisters-in-law, Shelly (Keith) Kubly, Monticello and Heidi (Dan) Flynn, Arizona; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rebecca in 2021; and 2 brothers, Eugene and Robert. 

The family would like to thank St. Clare Friedensheim for the care and love given to Howard.
