Gary L. “Moe” Mosley, age 75 of Argyle, WI passed away Friday, May 13, 2022 at Lafayette Manor in Darlington, WI. He was born on August 2, 1946 in Dodgeville, WI the son of Kenneth and Shirley (Blaser) Mosley. Gary and his brother Phil Mosley lived with their uncle and aunt, Harry and Zola Blaser after their parents passed away. Gary graduated from Darlington High School. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Marines where he served from 1964 – 1968 when he was honorably discharged. Gary was united in marriage to his sweetheart, Gail Beasley in Darlington on December 12, 1970. After their marriage, Gary and Gail moved to Argyle where they raised their family.
Gary was a truck driver. He drove for Argyle Industries for many years and also independently. Sometimes taking his children along in the summer so they could experience what it was like to be with their dad at his work. Gary loved playing and watching sports. He played baseball, golf, and bowled. He would share how much he enjoyed playing for Argyle A’s and other local ball teams and getting a 297 in bowling. Gary also loved to spend time on the golf course with his friends. His kids remember their dad taking them to their first Milwaukee Brewers game and getting to drive the golf cart on the course. These and other memories will be cherished by them forever. Gary loved his children and his grandchildren and always enjoyed their visits with him.
Gary courageously battled MS for many years but it didn’t stop him from enjoying his garden and being outside. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.
Gary is survived by his brother: Phil Mosley; his children: Gretchen (Bob) Fischer of Monroe, WI, Joseph (Julie) Mosley of Beloit, WI, and Shannon (Dan) Jelle of New Glarus, WI; and his grandchildren that he adored: Tessa (Jake) Heissner, Andrew Fischer, Jenna Mosley, Jayden Mosley, Elise Jelle, Lila Jelle, and Charles Jelle.
