Donald H. Fey, age 84, of Monroe passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Monroe Health Services.  He was born on June 15, 1938 the son of Raymond and Nellie (Ault) Fey.  He graduated from Monroe High School. 

Don was a lineman for the United Telephone Company (Utelco) for several years; he continued to work there for over 30 years until his retirement.  When he was younger, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.  He also liked woodworking and gardening, especially growing daffodils.   

Don is survived by his children, Michele (Jerry Gonzalez) Jordan of Union Grove, Tina (Monte) Clark of Monroe, and Eric (Teena) Fey of Monroe; grandchildren, Melissa (Felix) Vazquez, Megan (Kevin) Gabel, Brandon, Logan, and Jaden Clark, and Kaitlyn Fey; great-grandson, R.J. Ambrose; and sisters, Janet (Eugene) Kenner of Monticello, and Helen (Lee) West of Albany.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Arthur and Robert Fey; and sisters, Joan Thompson, Joyce Strehlow and Carol Thompson. 

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023 at 1:00 PM at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home with Pastor Sarah Mae Gabuyo officiating.  Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Monroe.
