Wis. 69 now open after accident causes morning closing

MONROE - Wisconsin 69 has reopened between Monroe and Monticello after emergency crews responded to a crash involving a semi this morning.

The crash was reported at 9:49 a.m. about two miles south of Monticello in the N5800 block of Wis. 69, according to Sheriff Jeff Skatrud.

Injuries are reported in the crash, which occurred between Wittenwyler Road and Gutzmer Road. Ambulances arrived at about 10:20 a.m.

Traffic was diverted at Holloway Road and Gutzmer Road.

The sheriff's department is urging drivers to use extra caution today in the "very slippery conditions" and is reporting numerous accidents and slide-offs across the county.
