MONROE – Monroe Clinic, a Member of SSM Health, has announced Jane Curran-Meuli as its next president beginning this month. She will replace Mike Sanders, who served as president and CEO of Monroe Clinic for 18 years. The two will work closely together to ensure a smooth transition.
With more than 25 years of experience in health care, Curran-Meuli will bring a blend of business and clinical experience to the role having served as both an administrator and a registered nurse. She was most recently the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Holy Family Memorial in Manitowoc. Before that she served as the Chief Operating Officer at Affinity Medical Group/Ministry Health Care, a regional integrated health system in the Fox Valley.
As president of Monroe Clinic, Curran-Meuli will be responsible for setting strategic direction and assuring its alignment with SSM Health system priorities. She will lead the operational and clinical teams day-to-day to achieve exceptional outcomes and fulfill the organization’s mission to reveal the healing presence of God.
“We are fortunate to have someone of Jane’s caliber and experience join us in leading Monroe Clinic,” said Sanders. “We are in an exciting and changing environment and I am confident that her leadership skills will help the team at Monroe Clinic continue to provide outstanding health care within the communities we serve.”
Through the years, Curran-Meuli has made numerous contributions to the organizations within which she has served. She has been recognized for her ability to build effective, sustainable relationships with physicians, peers, business partners and staff. In 2018, during her time at Holy Family Memorial, the hospital received the CMS 5 Star rating. While at Affinity Medical Group, they received the NCQA – Patient Centered Medical Home Tier III certification for 100% of the Primary Care Clinics.
“Monroe Clinic has an excellent reputation throughout the health care industry,” says Curran-Meuli. “To join this team is a great honor and I look forward to becoming part of the Monroe community.”
