Wendy S. Wilson, age 52, of Darlington, WI, passed away Monday, December 9, 2013, at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County in Darlington. She was born May 29, 1961 in Manitowoc, WI, the daughter of Rev. Glenn and Lois (Schultz) Skatrud. Wendy lived in various towns in Northern Wisconsin before moving to Shullsburg, WI, in 1978. She graduated from Shullsburg High School in 1979. Wendy moved to Darlington in 1980, where she has resided since. She was united in marriage to Scott Wilson on November 27, 1982 in Shullsburg. Wendy worked as a CNA at the Lafayette Manor and loved the people she cared for.

Wendy is survived by her husband: Scott at home; her father and mother: Rev. Glenn and Lois Skatrud of Milton, WI; her daughter: Emily (Jeremy) Gratz of Darlington; one grandson: Mack Wilson Gratz; her father-in-law: Russell Wilson of Darlington; two brothers: Jeff (Lynn) Skatrud of Brodhead, WI, and Dan (Ann) Skatrud of Monroe, WI; three sisters: Heidi (Tim) Harty of New Berlin, WI, and Leah Skatrud and Stacy Skatrud both of Milton; many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law: Donna Wilson; her grandparents; and one niece: Danielle Skatrud.

Wendy was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Shullsburg. She loved the Milwaukee Brewers and all her pets, but most of all she loved her family. Wendy was known for her hearty laugh and sense of humor. During her battle with cancer she never once complained and always put others first. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 14, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church, 226 West Church Street in Shullsburg, WI, with Rev. Jeffrey A. Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery in Darlington. A visitation will be held Friday, December 13, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Erickson Funeral Home, 508 Main Street in Darlington.
