NEW GLARUS - Green County Deputy Charlie R. Worm, 46, Brodhead, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle crash reported at 4:43 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, on County W just east of Elmer Road in New Glarus. The 2013 Chevrolet Impala squad car sustained moderate front-end damage.

MONROE - On Friday, Dec. 6:

• Tonya L. Wald, 44, Oregon, was uninjured in a rollover crash reported at 11:28 a.m. on County W at Christen Road in Exeter Township. She was westbound when her vehicle veered onto the gravel shoulder and she lost control. The vehicle overturned and sustained severe damage. It was towed.

• Amy S. Bazley, 45, Monroe, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle crash reported at 6:37 p.m. in the W5100 block of Wis. 59 in Monroe Township. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

On Saturday, Dec. 7:

• Ashley L. Hermanson, 22, Monroe, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle crash reported at 6:12 p.m. in the W4900 block of Wis. 11 in Monroe Township. The vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.

On Sunday, Dec. 8:

• Lori L. Vogel, 48, rural Monroe, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle crash reported at 12:12 a.m. in the N3100 block of Youth Cabin Road in Monroe Township. The vehicle sustained minor front-end damage and was driven from the scene.

• Steven M. Stageman, 36, Janesville, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle crash reported at 12:18 a.m. in the W2300 block of County SS in Decatur Township. The vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.

• No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle crash at 10:34 a.m. in the N3800 block of Meyers Road in Sylvester Township. Robert C. Hinds, 63, rural Monroe, was backing out of his driveway and backed into the path of a southbound vehicle driven by Ruth Schrade, 81, rural Monroe. Both vehicles were moderately damaged and driven from the scene.

• No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle crash at 2:18 p.m. in the intersection of Wis. 81 and Wis. 11 in Spring Grove Township. Mathew P. Henningfield, 19, Burlington, was westbound on Wis. 81 and attempting to stop at the stop sign at the intersection when he lost traction on the snow-covered highway and slid into another westbound vehicle stopped at the intersection, driven by Norman W. Robinson, 57, Spring Grove, Ill. The Robinson vehicle sustained very minor damage to the rear bumper. The Henningfield vehicle was undamaged. Both were driven from the scene.

• Nicholas H. Guenther, 26, Evansville, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash reported at 3 p.m. on Wis. 92 at County W in Exeter Township. He was southeast when he lost control on a curve, went into the south ditch, collided with a fence and came to rest in a pasture. The vehicle sustained moderate damage to the front and undercarriage. Guenther was able to remove the vehicle.

• Ashley S. Smith, 24, Albany, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash reported at 3:35 p.m. in the N3500 block of Wis. 59 in Sylvester Township. She was eastbound when she lost control on a curve. Her vehicle traveled across both lanes of traffic and into the north ditch, went airborne down an embankment and came to rest on its wheels. The vehicle was severely damaged and towed.

• No injuries were reported at 3:42 p.m. from a one-vehicle crash in the W4800 block of County FF in Sylvester Township. Beverly A. Blumer, 73, Monroe, was eastbound when her vehicle started to slide on the snow-covered road. It went into the south ditch, through a barbed-wife fence and came to rest in a field. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

• Deputies responded to three additional reports of vehicles stuck in ditches in the county, each without injuries or reportable damages.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Saturday, Dec. 7:

• No injuries were reported at 2:06 am. from a one-vehicle crash on County K in Darlington Township. Bree K. Harker, 18, Darlington, was eastbound when she swerved to miss hitting a cow, crossed into the opposite ditch and hit a large piece of concrete. The 2010 Dodge Avenger she was driving was moderately damaged and towed.

• JoAnn M. Crosby, 70, Belmont, reported no injuries at 5:30 p.m. after she hit a deer on Wis. 11 in Gratiot Township. Her vehicle was moderately damaged.

On Sunday, Dec. 8:

• A deputy assisted with a vehicle in the ditch at 12:34 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Gratiot Township.

• No injuries were reported at 1:04 p.m. from a one-vehicle accident on Riverside Road in Gratiot Township. Thomas J. Ellefson, 61, Darlington, was southbound when he lost control on the snow- and ice-covered road and the 2001 Ford truck he was driving slid into the ditch, where it struck several small trees and a metal gate. The truck was extensively damaged and towed.

• Gregory A. Halvorson, 50, Gratiot, reported no injuries at 1:35 p.m. after hitting a deer on County F in Darlington Township. His vehicle sustained moderate damage.

• A deputy responded at 1:35 p.m. to provide traffic control until a vehicle in the ditch on Apple Branch Road in Argyle Township could be removed. Several hours later, a deputy responded to Apple Grove Church Road, where the same truck and trailer had again slid into the ditch. Part of the unit was blocking the road, so the deputy provided traffic control.

• No injuries were reported at 5:30 p.m. from a one-vehicle accident on Holland Road in Seymour Township. Mackenzie K. Torstenson, 21, Darlington, was eastbound when she lost control on the snow-covered road and slid across the road and into the ditch. Her vehicle was moderately damaged and towed.

• No injuries were reported at 5:40 p.m. from a one-vehicle accident on Wis. 126 in Belmont Township. Stefanie B. Baum, 37, Juda, was southbound when she lost control on a snow-covered curve. Her 2005 Ford van crossed the road and hit a fence in the opposite ditch before going back across the road and coming to rest in the other ditch. The van sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

• No injuries were reported at 8:09 p.m. from a minor traffic accident on West Union Street in Shullsburg. Zachary J. Benke, 19, Madison, was eastbound on Wis. 11 and lost control as he turned right onto West Union Street, causing his 2000 Pontiac to slide across the snow-covered road and into a stop sign. The car sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.
