Monroe Police

MONROE - No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident in the 2000 block of 11th Street. Violet Elmer, 81, Monroe, hit a vehicle driven by a 41-year-old man from Monroe. Elmer was cited at 3:21 p.m. Friday, April 4, for failure to yield right-of-way from a stop sign.

• Brandon A. Slayer, 42, Monroe, was arrested at 12:38 a.m. Sunday, April 6, for drunk driving, third offense, in the 2000 block of 17th Avenue. Slayer was jailed pending court.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Andrew C. Woodman, 25, Cottage Grove, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle crash in the N9600 block of County O, Town of New Glarus, at 10:35 a.m. Saturday, April 5. Woodman was southbound on County O when a deer entered the roadway and hit his vehicle. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

On Sunday, April 6:

• Raymond K. Moore, 33, Argyle, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident in the W5600 block of County C, Town of Washington, at 2:53 a.m. Moore was westbound on County C when a deer ran into the roadway and hit his vehicle. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

• Samuel D. Sink, 22, rural Monroe, was uninjured in a one-vehicle accident in the W7800 block of Smock Valley Road, Town of Cadiz, at 10:30 a.m. Sink was westbound on Smock Valley Road when he reported he lost control of his vehicle after swerving to avoid a deer. The vehicle entered the south ditch and hit several small trees and some brush. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - James R. Hicks, 46, Warren, Ill., was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident on Wisconsin 11, Wayne Township, at 6:58 a.m. Friday, April 4.

• No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident on Wis. 23, Willow Springs Township. Richard W. Ubersox, 21, Darlington, was northbound when he slowed to turn onto Meylor Lane. A second northbound vehicle driven by Jose A. Aguilar-Guevary, 33, Darlington, hit the rear of Ubersox's vehicle. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were driven from the scene. Aguilar-Guevary was cited at 5:43 p.m. Saturday, April 5, for not having a valid driver's license.
