Darlington Police

DARLINGTON - On Saturday, Oct. 26:

• Reanna R. Parker, 32, Darlington, was cited for driving without a valid license and with a suspended registration at about 5:40 a.m. on Main Street.

• Daniel F. Rolli, 19, Darlington, was arrested at about 4 p.m. on Division Street on two warrants issued by Lafayette County. He posted bond and was released.



Monroe Police

MONROE - On Friday, Oct. 18:

• A Craigslist scammer was reported at 9:29 a.m. in the 1700 block of 11th Street. A woman told police she sold clothing on Craigslist to a person who paid with a fraudulent check.

• Michael B. Bowling, 17, Monroe, was cited at 10:55 a.m. for second-offense truancy from Monroe High School.

• A theft of library materials from the School District of Monroe was reported at 12:03 p.m.

• A theft of clothing from an unlocked apartment in the 2000 block of 15th Avenue was reported at 12:08 p.m. The clothing was removed in a girlfriend vs. boyfriend dispute.

• A stray cat trying to get into Abraham Lincoln Accelerated Learning Academy was reported at 12:11 p.m. The cat was gone by the time an officer arrived.

• Cash was found on the sidewalk downtown in the 1000 block of 17th Avenue and turned over to police at 12:56 p.m.

• An unauthorized withdrawal from a bank account was reported at 1:50 p.m. in the 800 block of 6th Street.

• A 13-year-old girl was cited for disorderly conduct at about 2 p.m. after allegedly punching a 12-year-old girl, a fellow student at Monroe Middle School. Police were called to the Monroe Clinic ER, where the 12-year-old was being treated for minor injuries. The punching occurred at the middle school. Staff asked the victim's family to come pick her up.

• Prescription painkillers were reported missing at 4:08 p.m. from a home in the 2800 block of 1st Street. Family of the older female resident reported the theft.

• A 6-year-old in the 2200 block of 1st Street dialed 911 by mistake at 4:27 p.m. while trying to call a friend.

• A man's wallet was reported lost near the Highlander Mall, 1421 14th Ave., at 5:20 p.m.

• A man's wallet was reported lost on West 8th Street at 8:58 p.m.

• Brooklynn C. Thomas, 17, Monroe, was cited for underage possession of tobacco after an officer on patrol at 9:22 p.m. observed a group of teens smoking downtown.

• A gas drive-off was reported at 11:45 p.m. at Kwik Trip, 1019 9th St.

On Saturday, Oct. 19:

• A black-and-white stray cat was reported found at 8:56 a.m. by a resident in the 3000 block of 6th Avenue. It was taken to the Green County Humane Society.

• A woman in the 1800 block of 19th Street reported she was bit by a neighbor's cat at 12:24 p.m. The neighbor was warned not to let the cat run loose.

• A resident in the 2000 block of 12th Avenue reported at 1:22 p.m. that a neighbor's dog was running loose. The dog had broken its leash. The neighbor was warned.

• A man was warned at 6:29 p.m. for walking his dog in Twining Park.

On Sunday, Oct. 20:

• Police were called at 8:32 a.m. to an argument between estranged parents during a child exchange in the 300 block of 4th Street. The mother called police with the allegation that the father tried to run her over. A witness did not substantiate this. Police warned the parents to conduct their exchange in a more business-like manner. No one was cited or arrested.

• A 14-year-old girl in the 1600 block of 21st Avenue called police at 9:35 a.m. because she was having an argument with her mother. The teen thought she knew better than her mother. Police disagreed. No one was cited or arrested.

• A man in the 1700 block of 14th Street called police at 12:29 p.m. to report an argument he was having with his 14-year-old son. No one was cited or arrested.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Monday, Oct. 28:

• A deputy assisted at 8:50 a.m. with lifting a person who had fallen to the floor in a residence on West Main Street in Shullsburg.

• Mark W. Scott, 56, Argyle, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct after a deputy responded at 8:39 p.m. to Mills Street in Argyle for a noise complaint. Scott posted bond and was released.
