MONROE - A Belleville man is sentenced to nine months in jail for the assault in March of a teen girl.
Eric C. Wade, 23, pleaded no contest Thursday, Sept. 5, to a Class H felony charge of false imprisonment.
Judge James Beer ordered Wade to begin his sentence the same day. Charges of battery and strangulation and suffocation were dismissed in the case.
According to court records, Wade grabbed and pushed down a 17-year-old girl, dragged her across the room by her hair, headbutted her, ripped off her underwear and shoved his fingers down her throat until she threw up blood.
Deputies were called to his residence in the early morning hours of March 22 to investigate the incident.
Wade is eligible for Huber work-release from jail and is due 167 days of sentence credit for time already served. He owes the court $343.
