Lu Jean A. Albright, age 54, of Monroe, died on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Monroe Clinic Hospital. She was born on October 24, 1958 in Monroe, the daughter of William and Ruth (Lueck) Bittner. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1976.
Lu Jean and Jerry Albright were married on April 2, 1983 in Monroe.
Lu Jean farmed for 20 years and worked at Rosa Florist in Monroe. She was a member of the Balls Mill Homemakers, enjoyed animals, gardening and flowers. Lu Jean provided the petting Zoo for the Monroe Park & Recreation for the July 4th celebration for 15 years.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry of Monroe, children: Sara (Kerry Hinton) Albright, Karl Albright and Paul (Emily Voorhis) Albright all of Monroe; granddaughter, Payton Hinton, brother, Fredrick Bittner of Monroe; sisters, Laurie (Brian) Williams of Mukwonago, and Lonnie (Chris Riley) Coplien of Brodhead.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Bill Bittner and sister, Lolly Bittner.
Funeral services will be noon Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Dr., and 18th Ave. with Susan Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
