Green County Sheriff

On May 9:

● At approximately 10:24 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a motorcycle in the W700 blk of Wis. 11, Town of Spring Grove. Investigation resulted in the operator, Matthew P. Baumgartner, 31 of Monroe, being placed under arrest for two charges of Felony Bail Jumping and one charge of Misdemeanor Bail Jumping. Matthew was cited for Operating Without a Motorcycle Endorsement and for speed and was housed at the Green County Jail pending his initial court appearance.

On May 10:

● At 8:06 p.m., Deputies responded to the area of Wis. 69 and County NN, in the Town of New Glarus for numerous traffic complaints of a vehicle swerving all over the roadway. Investigation resulted in the operator, Brett C. Kohl, 32 of Monroe being arrested for Operating Under the Influence (3rd). Kohl was also arrested for Possession of Heroin and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Kohl was cited for operating without a valid license. Kohl was incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending an initial court appearance.

On May 12:

● At 11:14 a.m. Deputies responded to a traffic incident on CTH C at CTH D (east intersection), Town of Mt. Pleasant. Investigation revealed a non-contact motor vehicle crash at the intersection. Nolan M Kicmol, 23, Albany reported he was westbound on CTH C when saw a northbound vehicle on CTH D turn westbound (left) onto CTH C. Nolan swerved to avoid a collision with the other vehicle, and entered the north shoulder. Nolan collided with a culvert. He reported wearing his seatbelt and was uninjured. There was no airbag deployment. The other driver, Arthur J Zeratsky, 60, Albany, admitted to not yielding to the right of way. Arthur reported wearing his seatbelt and was uninjured. There was no collision with Nolan’s vehicle thus. Arthur was cited for Failure to Yield to the Right-of-Way from a Stop Sign. 

● At approximately 4:29 p.m., Deputies and the Brodhead Police Department responded to the N2600 block CTH GG, Town of Decatur, for a report of an out of control female. The female, later determined to be, Britney F. Carpenter, 35 of Brodhead, was being loud, boisterous and profane towards multiple people in the home, including juveniles. Investigation resulted in Britney being placed under arrest for Resisting and Disorderly Conduct falling under the Wisconsin Domestic Abuse laws. Britney was held at the Green County Jail with no bond due to threats of violence towards the victims involved.

On May 13 :

● Deputies responded to the N4700 block of Jordan Center Rd, Town of Jordan, for a disorderly conduct complaint. Investigation resulted in, Naomi P. Gordee, 35, of Argyle, being arrested for Disorderly Conduct. Gordee was confined at the Green County jail pending bond or court.

● Deputies responded to the N900 block of Mt Hope Rd, Town of Spring Grove, for a disorderly conduct complaint. Investigation resulted in, Corinne L. Vanhauen 32, of Pecatonica, Ill., being arrested for Disorderly Conduct. Vanhauen was confined at the Green County Jail pending bond or court.


Monroe Police

On May 8:

● At approximately 8:29 p.m. Officers arrested Peter V. Cramer, 36, Blue Mounds in the 400 block of 4th Avenue. Peter was arrested following an investigation that occurred on May 5th, 2023, where Peter fled from a traffic stop. Peter was arrested for Obstructing/Resisting an Officer and cited for a Violation of Motor Cycle Instructional Permit. Peter was taken to the Green County Jail, where he was held pending cash bond or court.

On May 9:

● 8:03 p.m., officers were called to a report of a suspicious person in a vehicle in the 1400 block of 30th Avenue. An investigation led to the arrest of Aaron N. Mazahreh, 46, Monroe, on a charge of fleeing an officer, possess Methamphetamine, two (2) counts of possession of schedule II narcotic drug, and two (2) counts of felony bail jumping. Mazahreh was also was cited for failure to stop for a stop sign, unreasonable and imprudent speed, and reckless driving. Mazahreh was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
