Brodhead man charged with fourth-offense drunk driving

MONROE - A Brodhead man stood mute Tuesday in Green County Circuit Court to charges of fourth-offense driving while intoxicated and fourth-offense driving with a prohibited alcohol concentration.

John F. Nafzger, 58, faces up to 12 years in prison and more than $20,000 in fines for the class H felonies.

The court scheduled an Oct. 26 district attorney conference for Nafzger.

Court records allege he had a blood alcohol level of .215 when stopped by deputies Aug. 29 on Wisconsin 11 east of Lumberyard Road.

He remains free on a $3,500 signature bond and a $500 cash bond.
