Eckerman a recipient of the Friends of the Monroe Public Library Scholarship
Adeline Eckerman

MONROE — Adeline Eckerman was one of two recipients of the Friends of the Monroe Public Library Scholarship. Eckerman will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater to pursue a degree in Education with a minor in Coaching. She will be focusing on Elementary Education, but wants to become certified so she can teach all grade levels, along with being a tennis coach.

The Friend scholarships require an essay of 300 words or more on one of the following topics: How the Library has impacted your life; The importance of Libraries or How Libraries impact the community. The applicant must have a 2.5 GPA and plan on attending a school for Education or a related field.

The Friends of the Monroe Public Library scholarship is available for Monroe High School seniors and homeschooled seniors living in the Monroe School District.
