Betty C. Callery, age 94, of Buffalo, MN, formerly of Delano, MN, Boone, IA, and Monroe, WI, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, February 13, 2016 in the adult foster care home in which she resided. Betty was born to Edwin R. Booth and Irene (Geiger) Booth in Monroe, WI on November 14, 1921. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1939. She left Monroe, spent time in Freeport, IL and met her husband Charles Callery in Webster City, IA. They were united in marriage in Cedar Falls, IA on February 20, 1954 and resided in Boone, IA for more than fifty years. She worked for KWBG radio station in Boone for many years and managed an apartment building complex well into her 80's. Betty loved animals and always had a cat by her side. She enjoyed visits to Fall Harvest Orchard to pet and hold all of the animals. There were several dogs at her home to keep her company.
Betty is survived by two nephews: Greg (Terri) Booth of Loretto, MN, Thom (Cindy) Booth of Marysville, WA; niece-in-law: Sherry (Augsburg) Booth of Monroe, WI, as well as great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
