MONROE — A man charged with child sex offenses in Green County has been convicted of similar charges in Dodge County Circuit Court and faces up to 40 years in state prison on each count.

According to court records, Terry Gould, 48, was convicted by a jury Wednesday of Repeated Sexual Assault of Same Child, 1st or 2nd Degree Sexual Assault; and Incest with Child by Stepparent.

The jury in the case began deliberations at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday and met until 3:07 p.m., when the verdict was announced in open court, according to court records.

He still faces more than 11 charges of sexual relations with a child and child sex trafficking in Green County, according to officials, court records and published reports.

Gould has lived in several locations in recent years, resulting in the charges in two counties. He was initially listed as living in Fitchburg, but also has lived in Reeseville among, apparently, other locations.

“All of the charges relate to incidences alleged to have occurred in the Village of Albany,” District Attorney Craig Nolen has said of the Green County cases.

In the Dodge County case, he is accused of crimes against two victims on multiple occasions. The charges there and in Green County are punishable by potentially hundreds of years in prison.

One of the victims allegedly said that the abuse happened “more times than he can count on his fingers and toes,” according to a published report, citing the criminal complaint.

Sentencing for Gould is scheduled for 10 a.m. Sept. 18 in Dodge County.  His next appearance in Green County Circuit court on the local charges is set for 9 a.m. Sept. 8 before judge Duane M. Jorgenson. His final pre-trial hearing is Oct. 10, and his Green County jury trial is scheduled for Oct. 24-27 in front of Jorgenson.

Following sentencing, Gould’s bond was revoked pending sentencing and he remains in custody. He likely will be transportation by law enforcement when he makes his next appearance in Green County.

Gould also faces being forced to register for life as a sex offender.
