Woodford State Bank holds Cash Mob at Bullwinkles
Relay For Life

BRODHEAD — Woodford State Bank held a Cash Mob at Bullwinkles’ Coffee & More on July 24. Owner Fionna Thingvold chose to donate 10% of the proceeds for the day to Relay For Life of Green County. Proceeds were given in the amount of $300.03.

What is a Cash Mob?

Woodford State Bank continues its ongoing commitment to supporting local businesses and community organizations through its Cash Mobs. Since 2018, Woodford State Bank has been organizing Cash Mobs, designed to stimulate local economic growth and foster community collaboration.

A Cash Mob is a dynamic approach to promoting and uplifting small businesses. Woodford State Bank selects a local business as the focal point of a Cash Mob event. The chosen business is then given the opportunity to allocate a portion of the day’s proceeds to their favorite community organization.

What sets Woodford State Bank’s Cash Mobs apart is the element of surprise — the “cash drop.” At a designated time during the event, money is given directly to customers to spend at the business or donated to the chosen organization.

These community-driven events are strategically promoted on social media platforms, creating a buzz that encourages local participation. These events are about more than just transactions; they foster connections and build a stronger, more resilient community.

Woodford State Bank encourages residents to stay tuned to their social media channels for announcements of upcoming Cash Mob events, as well as to join the movement in supporting local businesses and organizations.
