FREEPORT — The Friends of the Pecatonica River Foundation (FPRF) will be meeting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 14 at the Freeport Public Library, 100 E. Douglas Street. The meeting will be held in the second floor Board Room.
The Friends of the Pecatonica River Foundation is a 501[c]3 Not-for-Profit organization that is dedicated to improving all 58 miles of the Pecatonica River experience. This includes access, education, wildlife habitat, log jam extrication and river clean-up for the human communities in Stephenson County. Want to learn more? The FPRF is available to attend other organization’s meeting.
The canoeing, kayaking and fishing are great on the million-year-old river. FPRF encourages those interested to attend a meeting and consider becoming a member. Everyone is welcome.
