Public comment open for the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy
Community Brief

MONROE — The Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for southwestern Wisconsin (Iowa, Grant, Green, Lafayette, and Richland Counties) is available for public comment through Aug. 12, 2024.

The purpose of the CEDS is to answer the following question: How will we build capacity for economic development in southwestern Wisconsin? Updated every five years, the CEDS explores our region’s history, present economic landscape, and economic opportunities. Southwestern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (SWWRPC) partners with local economic development stakeholders to identify strategic priorities that will guide Economic Development Administration (EDA) funding in the region.

The plan is available on the SWWRPC website at www.swwrpc.org/services/economic-development/comprehensive-economic-development-strategy. Comments can be submitted to Ellen Tyler: e.tyler@swwrpc.org.
