LCHS special Veterans display
memorial day 2021

DARLINGTON — The Lafayette County Historical Society presents a special show of its extensive collection of military uniforms and artifacts of county veterans.

LCHS has received donations of military items for years and will display them in honor of county veterans. The display includes uniforms, coats, hats, photos, and stories from almost every major conflict of the past back to the Civil War.

Readers that would like to donate a military uniform to be cared for local archivists and shared with the community in respectful displays, can contact LCHS at 608-776-8340.

The Museum is located at 525 Main Street, Darlington (in what was the “old” Carnegie Free Library) with parking available on either side-street and a city lot behind the building. There is stairless access for visitors with mobility issues. The museum’s regular hours are 1 to 4 p.m. on weekdays. LCHS can also accommodate requests for additional hours as needed. Contact the museum with any questions at times (608) 776-8340.
