SOUTH WAYNE — This Saturday Aug. 31, at noon, a ceremony will take place to honor the last Civil War Union soldier buried in Lafayette County, James Perrigo. The gravesite is in Blaisdell Cemetery, in South Wayne. The ceremony will include a musket firing and placement of a marker honoring Perrigo’s service.
