MONROE — Volunteers are needed in Monroe for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program sponsored by American Association of Retired Persons/Tax Aide. AARP/Tax Aide provides free income tax assistance by preparing income tax returns for low to moderate income persons.

Volunteers should be comfortable working on a computer. Some income tax knowledge is helpful. Computers and software are provided. Volunteers are required to attend in person training and self study.

They will prepare taxes on Monday and Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. from February 1 until April 7, 2027.
