Katzenburger in National Hereford Queen contest

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Hereford Women will be facilitating the 2014 contest for the 2015 National Hereford Queen contest. Briana Katzenburger, Monroe, will be one of 10 contestants representing their home state at the American Royal as part of the American Hereford Association annual meeting and national show starting Friday.

Crowning will be Sunday. The coveted title will be awarded to a contestant who will serve as a representative of the Hereford breed at local, state and national events promoting the breed and the beef industry throughout the United States.

Katzenburger is currently a student at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in marketing with an emphasis of international business. She is an active member of the Wisconsin Junior Hereford Association. Katzenburger's passion for Hereford cattle started as a young girl when her parents allowed her to name her first heifer.

She is the daughter of Eric and Rosie Katzenberger, Monroe.
