NEW GLARUS - The New Glarus Public Library is hosting a meet-and-greet reception with the Driftless Area Artists from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday in the New Glarus Village Hall community room, 319 2nd St., New Glarus.
The DAA is a local artist group of more than 30 members from the southwestern Wisconsin area. Thirteen local artists have work in the library display case through the end of March.
Friday's reception is an opportunity to meet and talk with the artists, participate in make-and-take art projects, enjoy some refreshments and browse and purchase unique works of art. Types of art include paintings, pottery, photography, art quilts, mosaics and pencil drawings. The event is free and open to the public.
There will be more partnerships between the library and the DAA coming this summer, with art demonstrations and a possible plein air outing.
