MONROE — It’s not too late to register for the Monroe Area Swim Team. MAST is a volunteer/parent run organization and exists to benefit all swimmers, not just the highly skilled, aged 6 to 18 years old. All are welcome who enjoy swimming and being a part of an active peer group. 

Coaches hired are professionally trained with Red Cross Lifeguard Training along with stroke experience and experience in working with children. Stroke instruction is given. 

Practice begins from 4 to 5:15 p.m. Monday, June 3 at Monroe outdoor pool. Ages 8 and under are done at 5 p.m. There will be a required parent meeting from 4 to 5 p.m. June 3.

Members are required to have a season pool pass before the first day of practice. There is also a deposit fee per family, which could be refunded at the end of the season if you work all concession shifts. 

You are required to work five three hour shifts. An adult family representative 18 years or older needs to sign up to work the concession stand. 

For home meets, if your children are swimming, there must be an adult family representative 18 years or older sign up to help out with the meets.
