MONROE - The U-14 Girls Rebel Mystics have had an impressive last two weeks with wins against Reedsburg and Evansville.
On Saturday, Oct. 13, the Rebels played a rainy game against Reedsburg at home and earned a 6-2 victory. Goalkeeper Anna Latimer had three saves in the first half and added three the second.
Reedsburg started out with a goal, but Monroe answered with a goal by Olivia Werth on an assist by Morgan Seffrood. The half ended at 1-1.
In the second half, the Mystics pulled away with on a goal by Brynn Ritschard assist by Werth. Werth scored two more goals, Seffrood scored one, and Kennedy Ludwig scored on an assist by Taylor Adkins.
Reedsburg scored one additional goal to end the game 6-2. Great defense by Samantha Ellefson, Aurora, and Aspen Bader helped to seal the win.
On Saturday, Oct. 20, the girls traveled to Evansville and won 6-0.
Seffrood was goalie and earned five saves in the game. Ritschard and Aurora had goals the first half. Defense by Latimer, Aspen Bader and Ellefson kept Evansville scoreless.
