Argyle took the lead for good by scoring two runs in the fifth inning. Treuthardt delivered an RBI double to tie the game at 2. Treuthardt later stole home to give the Orioles a 3-2 lead.

Flannery pitched five innings to get the win. He gave up one earned run on five hits, struck out seven and walked two. Miken Godfrey tossed 11⁄3 shutout innings in relief for Argyle (5-6, 3-4 Six Rivers East).

"It was back and forth," Monticello coach Scott Smice said. "We had a few errors in situations that cost us a few runs."

Monticello senior Zach Price went 3-for-4, and Kolten Shulka was 3-for-4.

Monticello junior Travis McCoy pitched 61⁄3 innings and gave up four earned runs on 10 hits. He struck out three and walked three.
