The Albany volleyball team's season came to an end with a three game loss to Burlington Catholic Central, 25-10, 25-8, 25-12 in the WIAA Division 4 Williams Bay regional semifinal.

The Comets (13-8) were led by sophomore Courtney Pfeuti who had nine digs and junior Sydney Bump who had six. Albany senior Devan Brugger had two kills.

"We obviously had to do some rallying," Albany coach Connie Wunschel said. "They (Catholic Central) are just really quick. You can't even compare them to Brodhead. They are like a college team."

Faith Christan 3, Black Hawk 1

Black Hawk, the Six Rivers East Conference champions who went unbeaten in conference the last two years, lost a regional semfinal match to Williams Bay Faith Christan, 25-27, 25-12, 25-19, 25-15.

Potosi 3, Pecatonica 0

Potosi swept the Vikings, 25-10, 25-17, 25-10 in the WIAA Division 4 Barneveld regional semifinal.
