Bullets lose, Raiders advance

MONROE — The first round of Home Talent League playoffs began Sunday, July 28 for the Northern and Western sections. The top eight teams in each section qualified.

No. 8 Blanchardville fell to top-seeded Dodgeville 4-3. The Knights were undefeated in the regular season and had previously beaten the Bullets 7-5 and 15-3.

No. 3 Belleville defeated No. 4 Arena 4-0. The Raiders advance to the Western Section semifinal against 2-seed Verona on Sunday, Aug. 4. The Cavaliers, eight-time league champions, previously beat the Raiders 12-0.


all-star game

The North vs. West All-Star Game will take place at 7:05 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 2 at Chuck Hall Memorial Field in Sauk City.

The following local players were selected: Tannar Johnson (Argyle), Eli Zimmerman (Argyle), Cade Janecke (Wiota), Jameson Johnson (Blanchardville) and Kyle Kleppe (Blanchardville).
