BELLEVILLE — The Sugar River boys soccer team was one of 72 teams across the nation to be honored by United Soccer Coaches for ethics and sportsmanship.

The Ethics and Sportsmanship Award is divided into four levels based on the number of yellow and red cards in a given season. 

● Platinum: no cards

● Gold: 1-10%

● Silver: 11-30%

● Bronze: 31-50%

Sugar River was one of 11 to receive Bronze. Thirty-one teams earned Silver, 16 Gold and 14 Platinum.
