MADISON — Middleton took the team title at the Edgewood Invitational at Blackhawk Country Club April 25 at just 25-over-par, while the Cheesemakers finished 19th of 20 teams at +99.
Middleton’s Dain Johnson was the medalist, carding a 1-under-par 71, edging Waunakee’s Max Brud by two strokes. Bert Leach led Monroe with a +19, tied for 67th place. Brady Spotts was +26 for the Cheesemakers, finishing 87th, while teammates Seth Brand and Aaron Benzschawel were each +27 and tied for 88th. Senior Carson Leuzinger ended his day in 100th place, shooting a 43-over-par 115.
