The Argyle-Pec Golf Team shot a team score of 167 to take fourth Place in the SWAL Conference Golf Meet held May 5 at the Yellowstone Golf Course in Argyle. Defending state champion Mineral Point won the event with a 151. Darlington took 3rd place with a 164. Sophomore Avari Steiner and senior Alex Ruetten each shot a one-over par 37 to lead Argyle-Pec. Junior Cohlman Schlimgen shot 42. Argyle-Pec coach Chuck Chandler really likes what he sees from Alex Ruetten and Avari Steiner. “Alex and Avari are dialed in. They are the top two players in the conference. It was good to see Cohlman shoot a decent round. We’ve got three SWAL Conference 9-hole meets left to go, and I really think our best team golf has yet to be played but time is running out,” said Chandler. The next meet is May 9 at Hickory Grove Golf Course in Fennimore.
