Iowa-Grant too much for Darlington

LIVINGSTON - The Redbirds had a tough time on the mat Tuesday night, falling to Iowa-Grant/Highland, 43-18, in a dual meet.

Bruce King and Tanner Andrews each picked up pins for Darlington. King, wrestling at 171 pounds, pinned Austin Kite in one minute. Andrews pinned Colt Woods in the 189-pound match in 5:06.

Devin Malott (125) won by an 8-1 decision over Jacob Yelinek and Matt McDaniel (140) edged Logan Bollant, 7-5, for the Redbirds' only other win.

Iowa-Grant/Highland won four matches via pin. Darlington also let up two major decisions and a technical fall.

Darlington hosts Fennimore Friday.
