MADISON - The Albany girls basketball team blitzed Madison Abundant Life 61-17 Tuesday night.
Albany (2-2) outscored Abundant Life 16-2 in the first quarter and never looked back. The Comets led 34-6 at halftime and continued rolling.
The Comets were led by sophomore Sydney Bump, who scored 15 points. Senior Nicolette Blumer added 12 points and Tiffany Thompson had 10.
Albany will host Barneveld on Thursday.

RIVERDALE - The Vikings used a 16-8 second-quarter surge to catapult to a win at Riverdale.
Pecatonica improves to 3-0. Vikings senior Brittany Kent scored a game-high 16 points and junior Kimee Chandler added 14 points.
PARKVIEW 36, BRODHEAD 34, OT
ORFORDVILLE - Round one of the Rock Valley South Conference battle went to Orfordville Parkview after slipping by Brodhead in overtime.
Senior Kristen Ruchti led the Cardinals with nine points and Alyssa Harding added eights.
Brodhead made five 3-pointers, two from junior Megan Heller.
