It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Nanette Lorraine O'Berem on April 7th, 2024 at her home in Monticello, WI.
Nanette was born on December 6th, 1951 in East Los Angeles, CA. She married her high school sweetheart, Mike O’Berem on February 14, 1970 in Alhambra, CA. After the birth of her son, Christopher, they moved to Monroe, WI.
She was a teacher's assistant at Abraham Lincoln Elementary School in the Monroe School District and worked full time with children with learning disabilities. Outside of work she enjoyed gardening, creating stained glass art, reading, spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by husband Mike O'Berem, son Christopher O'Berem, daughter-in-law Holly O'Berem, grandchildren Damon, Skyla and Fletcher, sister Randi Gibson, brothers Steven and Cliff Ahumada, Uncle Raymond (Pat) Kubly and cousins Ryan Kubly, Tim and Hillary Singleton, Craig and Peggy Singleton, Ron Singleton, and Cheri Singleton Beam.
She was preceded in death by Father Frank Ahumada, Step Mother Peggy Ahumada, Birth Mother Naomi Haas, sister Roxann Celino, Aunt Shirley Kubly, Uncle Stan Singleton and Aunt Beverly Singleton.
Funeral services will be held on May 15th, 2024, at Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home visitation from 2pm to 4 pm with service to follow officiated by Pastor Tim Singleton.
The family extends their gratitude to her doctors and nurses at UW Madison Hospital and Clinic for their wonderful care. As well a special thank you to her loving friends that have been by her side throughout the years.
