On November 26:
● At 8:15 a.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with reported injuries in the 500 block of 11th Street. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Carla S. Yeagle, 69, of Dakota, IL, was traveling east on 11th Street when a vehicle operated by Ezra Kim, 27, of Monroe, turned from a driveway into Yeagle’s path and the two collided. Both vehicles sustained disabling damages and were towed. Yeagle reported non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by Green County EMS. Kim was cited for failure to yield the right of way while entering the roadway and released pending a court appearance.
● At 6:39 p.m., officers arrested Caleb J. McIntosh, 20, of Monroe, on an apprehension request from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole. McIntosh was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.
On November 27:
● At 5:26 a.m., officers arrested Dayne T. Garwell, 20, of Monroe, following a traffic offense stop in the 1300 block of 22nd Avenue. Garwell was charged with possession of tetrahydrocannabinols (Delta 9 THC-marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Garwell was also cited for failure to stop for a stop sign and underaged person transporting intoxicants. Garwell posted bail and was released pending a court appearance.
● At 12:48 p.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries in the 400 block of West 8th Street. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Lonnie L. Krebs, 62, of Blanchardville, was performing a backing maneuver and collided with a vehicle operated by Douglas A. Lehr, 56, of Monticello. There was minor damage to both vehicles.
● At 1:54 p.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle hit and run accident with no reported injuries at West 8th Street and 4th Avenue West. The investigation indicated that a northbound vehicle operated by James B. Smith, 70, of Monroe, pulled alongside of a semi tractor trailer unit, which was attempting to turn east. When the semi unit made the turn, a portion of the trailer struck the Smith vehicle, causing damage. The semi unit operator continued on without stopping, and is still unidentified. Smith’s vehicle sustained functional damage and was towed.
On December 1:
● At 5:15 p.m., officers were called to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 800 block of 22nd Avenue. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Bret A. Thoman, 27, of Monroe, on charges of battery, disorderly conduct and intimidating a victim, under Wisconsin’s Domestic Violence laws. Thoman was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
