Delzer, Butler help Warriors edge Orioles

ARGYLE - Black Hawk senior Jordyn Delzer went 3-for-3 with one RBI to lead Black Hawk to a 4-2 win over Argyle on Tuesday.

The Warriors led 2-0 after four innings.

Black Hawk freshman Hannah Butler had a clutch two-run double in the fifth to help the Warriors take a 4-1 lead.

Butler pitched a complete game to get the win. She gave up two earned runs on seven hits. Butler struck out nine and walked three.

Argyle junior Kaylie Berget pitched five innings and gave up four earned runs on five hits. She struck out five and walked five.

"I think our walks came at inopportune times and then they would get a big hit," Argyle coach Heidi Ganshert said.

Argyle senior Kayla Butler-Paulson went 2-for-4 with one RBI. Junior Ashley Bruehlman had a triple for the Orioles.

Argyle drops to 12-10 overall and 5-7 in the Six Rivers East.
