David P. Naatz

David P. Naatz, age 72, of Evansville, Wis., passed away at his home on April 29, 2026. Born January 19, 1954, in Janesville, Wis., to Kenneth and Maxine (Vobian) Naatz, David attended Orfordville Parkview High School and played football for the Parkview Vikings. He worked for Varco Pruden Buildings for 42 years, retiring in 2016. David married Karen Mauerman on August 30, 2002. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, camping, ice fishing, golfing, gardening, and traveling on cruises. Known as a skilled handyman, he took pride in projects around the home. He and Karen enjoyed Euchre, traveling, and cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers.

David cherished time with his children and grandchildren, creating lasting memories through camping, canoeing, biking, sledding, trips to Wisconsin Dells, mini golf, and movies.

Survivors: wife Karen; children Lucas (Oxana) Naatz and Matthew (Cori) Naatz; grandchildren Zander and Zoey; brothers Kenneth (Janet), Richard (Christine), Thomas (Terri), Mark (Janelle), and Randy (Michelle) Naatz; brothers- and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by: Parents; parents-in-law Roy "Runt" and Dolores "Dottie" Mauerman; sisters-in-law Janet Huffman and Julie Hulbert.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Ward-Hurtley Funeral Home, Evansville. There will be a short prayer service at 11:30 a.m. After services fellowship will be held from 12:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. at the Evansville Country Club. Burial will take place privately at Greenwood Cemetery, Brodhead. Arrangements by the Ward-Hurtley Funeral Home.
