Muralt Bluff SNA hike coming May 16
wildflower

ALBANY — The local chapter of the Prairie Enthusiasts is hosting a wildflower walk on May 16 at Muralt Bluff SNA park, located 4 miles west of Albany. The western-facing bluff will be alive with wildflowers such as bird’s foot violets and shooting stars, plus other species.

Enjoy the flowers, the amazing vista, the fresh air up on the bluff. The group will talk about the geology of the site, and the management that brought this prairie remnant back to glory. The local Prairie Bluff chapter has been working on this site for 50 years.

Muralt Bluff Prairie SNA is owned by The Prairie Enthusiasts (TPE) & the WI Department of Natural Resources.  It is managed by the local TPE Prairie Bluff Chapter.
