Bench warrants were issued against a 19-year-old Platteville man after he failed to appear in court for two cases.
Anthony D. McWilliams is charged in Lafayette County with possession with intent to deliver 5 to 15 grams cocaine, possession of intent to deliver narcotics, possession with intent to deliver up to 200 grams of THC, possession of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor bail jumping.
McWilliams was free on $2,000 signature bond with the condition he not possess or consume nonprescription controlled substances and that he not possess drug paraphernalia. A bench warrant was issued Wednesday, according to court records.
McWilliams was arrested after a Lafayette County deputy sheriff responded to a welfare check in the Town of Belmont Nov. 13 around 2:35 a.m.
McWilliams also faces a Grant County charge of possession of amphetamine, LSD or psilocin for an incident June 11. McWilliams pleaded not guilty to the charge Aug. 29. He was free on $1,000 bond.
A bench warrant was issued after McWilliams failed to appear for a status conference Dec. 21, according to court records.
