MONROE - The victim in a fatal accident Thursday in the Town of Washington has been identified as Kenneth S. Stone, 54, Rockford.
Stone was driving a 2009 Lexus SUV northbound on Wisconsin 69 when he crossed the center line and struck a semi head-on, the Green County Sheriff's Office said. The accident happened north of Hefty Road at 4:49 p.m.
Stone was extricated from his vehicle and later died at the scene.
The southbound semi was driven by Victor G. Ingalsbe, 47, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He and his passenger, Norman L. Karraker, 53, of Wichita Falls, Texas, were both treated for minor injuries and released.
Both vehicles had severe damage. Officials said Ingalsbe and Stone were wearing safety belts at the time of the crash. Airbags in both vehicles deployed.
This is Green County's fourth traffic fatality for 2015.
