ALBANY — The Albany Historical Society will present “Uncovering the Croake Colony” at 7 p.m. on Sept. 15. It will be presented by Robert Bier from Rock County’s Historic Breweries, Bars, & Saloons and Jim Winter. They will present the program covering the history of the colony and artifacts that Jim recovered using a metal detector.

The colony was established in the early 1840s and was located two mile northeast of Albany, near Magnolia Bluff Park.
