Rosemary L. Handel, age 66, of Monroe, died on September 2, 2026 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. Rosemary was born on June 19, 1960 in Monroe, the daughter of Florian and Arlene (Dietzman) Handel. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1978 and worked at the Swiss Colony for several years. Rosemary loved making people laugh and was always helping others. She loved her cats, going for walks, gardening, and doing puzzles.

She is survived by her siblings, Marilyn (Bruce) Cline of Monroe, Sharon Handel of Roanoke, IN, Terry (Connie) Handel of Sycamore, IL, Diane Handel of Wake Forest, NC, and Rita (Steve) Schriver of Snohomish, WA; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and significant other, Charles Wendlandt.

A celebration of Rosemary’s life will be held at a later date. The Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, is assisting the family.
