DARLINGTON - A Mount Horeb man was arrested following a disturbance at about 4 a.m. Friday at a residence on Louisa Street.
Antwan D. Williams, 30, was arrested for sexual assault, battery and burglary.
Williams was jailed pending court.
Williams allegedly entered a residence without permission, sexually assaulted and physically attacked a female, according to Jason King, Darlington Police chief.
The victim was taken to Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County by Rural Medical Ambulance. She was later transferred to Meriter Hospital in Madison for treatment.
The Lafayette County Sheriff's Department assisted at the scene.
