GRATIOT - A Lousiana man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly stealing copper wire components from WEKZ radio tower site on Franklin Road on Oct. 9.

Paul Michael Rose, 29, Carenco, was jailed for felony theft after an area salvage dealer was able to identify Rose and provided an address in Gratiot to Green County sheriff's deputies, according to a news release.

Investigation was aided by Lafayette County deputies who have received reports of theft of copper wire from a cellphone tower and several other locations in the county.

Rose remains jailed pending arraignment in Green County Circuit court.
