Darlington Police

DARLINGTON - The Darlington Police Department is looking for help in solving a near collision that occurred at 9:06 a.m. Oct. 24 in a Main Street crosswalk. Reports indicate that a 55-year-old pedestrian was crossing Main Street at Louisa Street in a marked crosswalk when a vehicle failed to yield the right-of-way and nearly struck her. The pedestrian fell to the ground during her attempt to avoid being hit and suffered injuries, including a fractured elbow. The pedestrian was unable to provide a vehicle description. Police know the vehicle was driven by a female. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Darlington Police Department at (608) 776-4981.

Monroe Police

MONROE - No injuries were reported during a two-vehicle at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday in the 1300 block of 11th Street. Reports indicate that Richard J. Alston, 38, Monroe, hit a vehicle driven by Jerold C. Burnmeister, 83, Monroe. There was moderate damage to both vehicles. Alston was cited for failing to yield right-of-way.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 1:06 a.m. Wednesday in the N3300 block of Wisconsin 59 in the Town of Sylvester. Reports indicate that Daniel Bartelt, 35, Monroe, was southbound on Wis. 59 when he hit a deer. The vehicle had moderate damages and was driven from the scene. The deer was dead at the scene.

- No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 5:06 a.m. Wednesday in the N5700 block of Wis. 104 in the Town of Albany. Reports indicate that Leigh Whitehead, 50, Albany, was northbound on Wis. 104 when Whitehead hit a deer. The vehicle had moderate damage and was driven from the scene. The deer fled the scene and could not be located.

- No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 5:29 a.m. Wednesday in the W3100 block of Wis. 11 in the Town of Sylvester. Reports indicate that Delores Mchardie, 69, Monroe, was eastbound on Wis. 11 when she hit a deer. The vehicle had severe damage and was towed from the scene. The deer was dead at the scene.

- No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 6:38 a.m. Wednesday on Wis. 69, north of Gutzmer Road in the Town of Mt. Pleasant. Reports indicate that Mark Selje, 51, Madison, was southbound of Wis. 69 when he hit a deer. The vehicle had moderate damages and was driven from the scene. The deer was dead at the scene.

- No injuries were reported during one-vehicle accident at 5:21 p.m. Wednesday in the N6100 block of County F in the Town of Mt. Pleasant. Reports indicate that Mary Gafner, 65, Monticello, was westbound on County F when she hit a deer. The vehicle had moderate damage and was driven from the scene. The deer was dead at the scene.

- No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 8:17 p.m. Wednesday on Wis. 59, south of Burkhalter Road, in the Town of Sylvester. Reports indicate that Paul Albright, 59, Monroe, was southbound on Wis. 59 when he hit a deer. The vehicle had moderate damages and was driven from the scene. The deer fled the scene and could not be located.
