MONROE - Tyler J. Swedlund, 17, Browntown, was cited at 2:53 p.m. Friday for reckless driving following a one-vehicle accident in the 2000 block of 18th Avenue. Swedlund was backing out his vehicle when an 11-year-old passenger fell out of the vehicle. The juvenile sustained minor injuries.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Two people sustained injuries in a one-truck crash that occurred between Tuesday and Friday on County C at Wisconsin 104, Town of Brooklyn. Dale S. Barrette, 69, Evansville, was cited at 5:34 p.m. Friday for failure to notify law enforcement of a crash, hit-and-run property adjacent to a highway, failure to stop at a stop sign, driving too fast for conditions and driving without insurance. Barrette reported he was westbound on County C when his truck failed to stop at a stop sign and traveled through the intersection. The truck hit an embankment and stopped in the front yard of a residence. Barrette called Evansville Towing and his truck was removed. Neither Evansville Towing or Barrette notified law enforcement of the crash. Barrette was injured but was not treated. A passenger, Karla K. Gorman, 33, Evansville, sustained injuries but was not treated. The pickup truck was severely damaged. Evansville Towing was cited for failure of a towing/repair company to notify law enforcement of a crash. Both were released pending court.

• Trent W.D. Kuebli, 22, Albany, was uninjured in a one-vehicle accident in the W1900 block of Purintun Road, Town of Albany. Kuebli was cited at 8:01 p.m. Saturday for hit-and-run property adjacent to a highway, driving without insurance, failure to keep a vehicle under control and failure to notify police of an accident after deputies found a vehicle with front-end damage in the N5700 block of Tin Can Road, Town of Albany. Kuebli was eastbound on Purintun Road when he lost control of his vehicle and hit a mailbox. The vehicle was moderately damaged and was towed from the scene. Kuebli was released pending court.

On Sunday:

• A dog was injured in a vehicle vs. dog accident that occurred on County J south of Poplar Grove Road, Town of York, at 9:57 a.m. Tami D. Lynn Cecil, 41, Blue Mounds, was southbound on County J when three dogs ran into the roadway. One of the dogs ran into the path of Cecil's vehicle and hit it. The owner of the dog was identified as Thomas W. Duesterbeck, 45, Fitchburg. The dog suffered injuries and was taken by private vehicle to a veterinary clinic. Cecil's vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.

• James R. White, 63, Browntown, was uninjured in a deer vs. truck crash that occurred on Wis. 11 west of County MM, Town of Cadiz, at 1:46 p.m. White was westbound on Wis. 11 when a deer ran into the roadway and hit his truck. The truck was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.

• Jeffrey J. Barman, 51, Marshall, and his passengers were uninjured in a one-car accident in the W7900 block of County C, Town of Adams, at 3:19 p.m. Barman was westbound when he lost control of his car in a curve and went into the north shoulder. Barman attempted to correct the vehicle and traveled across the road and into the south ditch. The car received minor damage and was towed from the scene by the car's owner.

DARLINGTON - On Sunday:

• Ryan Temperly, 25, Mineral Point, was uninjured in a one-vehicle accident on North Mound Avenue, Belmont. Temperly was arrested at 2:34 a.m. for driving while intoxicated and failure to have control of a vehicle after his vehicle hit a bridge. The vehicle was severely damaged and was towed from the scene.

• Ryan Elliot, 35, Rewey, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash on County G, Belmont Township at 7:23 a.m. Elliot was westbound when his vehicle exhibited steering problems, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and hit a pole. The vehicle was severely damaged and was towed from the scene.
