MONROE - Lazarrick Chambers, 24, Sheridan Highland Park, Ill., was arrested at about 7:15 p.m. Friday at a residence on Wis. 39 in New Glarus township, for an outstanding warrant through the Elgin, Ill., Police Department for harassing communications. Chambers was jailed.
Robert M. Peters, 43, Burlington, was arrested for fifth offense operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and operating left of center on Race Road near Decatur Road in Decatur township, after deputies were called at about 7:15 p.m. Friday. The Wisconsin Department of Corrections also ordered a probation hold on Peters. Peters was jailed.
Michael R. Seidel, 34, Brooklyn, was arrested on charges of battery (two counts), disorderly conduct (two counts), theft, intimidating a victim and bail jumping at about 5 a.m. Saturday in Brooklyn. Seidel was jailed.
Eugene Scheidegger, 46, Brodhead, was arrested on charges of battery and disorderly conduct at about 2 p.m. Saturday at a residence in Spring Grove township. Scheidegger was jailed.

NEW GLARUS - Jeffrey A. Hogue, 22, New Glarus, was arrested at about 2 p.m. Thursday on a Lafayette County warrant for issuing worthless checks. Hogue was released after posting a cash bond.
On Aug. 3, the following persons were issued citations for issuing worthless checks in New Glarus: Jeffrey A. Hogue, 22, New Glarus, two counts; Matthew T. Schrieber, 29, New Glarus, one count; Rebecca L. Bell, 36, New Haven, Mich., one count; Sarah J. Roesselin, 30, Albany, one count. Chase J. Rau, 20, New Glarus, and Dustin L. Walters, 20, current address unknown, have been referred to Green County District Attorney's Office on a criminal charge of issuing a worthless check.
