Phyllis E. Waage, age 86 of Livermore, CA, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2008. She was born on March 13, 1921, the daughter of Gustave Louis and Cora Beulah (Dammen) Lofgren in Blanchardville, WI. Phyllis was united in marriage to Col. Amos E. Waage on March 4, 1942 in Augusta, GA. They shared 64 wonderful years together, before his passing on November 26, 2005. Phyllis and Amos lived at numerous locations around the world while Amos served in the U.S. Air Force. Following his retirement in 1972, they moved to Livermore, where they have resided since.

Phyllis is survived by her loving sons: Carey (Wanda) Waage of Livermore and Rodney (Cindy) Waage of Littleton, CO; seven grandchildren: Alan Crawford, Kenlynn Waage-John, Carey Waage Jr., Christopher Waage, Alex Waage, Nicole Harmon and Devin Waage; five great-grandchildren: Lauren and McKenzie John, Brock and Brynne Harmon and Ryan Waage; two sisters: Lois Gordee and Irene Mason, both of Monroe, WI. Phyllis touched many peoples lives and will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 15, 2008 at Yellowstone Lutheran Church in rural Argyle, WI, with Rev. Daniel Bohlman officiating. Burial will be at Yellowstone Lutheran Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church. The Erickson Funeral Home in Argyle is serving the family.
